Summary:. As a Human Resources Intern, you will get to see the full cycle of Human Resources, from pre-employment and finding the right candidate to what to do when someone leaves a company. You will gain experience in a variety of settings which may include recruiting, new hire orientation, HRIS functions, training, and development. Location: Hammersmith Headquarters ... Englewood, CO

This is a fall internship.

Main Responsibilities:

  • + Contribute to developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Attend departmental staff meetings, board meetings, and other meetings as requested to acquire substantial knowledge about the department's business objectives, goals, operations, and work culture.
  • Provide support on a variety of human resource functions, working closely with all areas of the Human Resource Department to facilitate effective Human Resource relationships.
  • Assist with the new hire process ensuring new hire packets submitted are complete in their entirety, copies of required I-9 Documentation, personnel file information is correct, and advise employees of missing items required for employment. Create employee personnel and medical files.
  • Comply with and implement the Hammersmith® Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals/handbooks to ensure the highest standards are maintained to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Human Resources or other member of the Human Resources Team.

  • Education and Experience:
  • Junior or senior pursuing a four-year degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in Human Resources or related field preferred
